Frequently Asked Questions
What hardware is required to work from home?
You'll need a laptop with webcam, good wifi (strong enough to stream online video training), a quiet working area, and the ability to work with a lot of online software. You'll be using things like Google docs (similar to Microsoft Office), Slack, Zoom, and ad network interfaces (we train that though).
We've even included a whole week of training on the mindset and expectations of working from home. We know that for a lot of people that first month of working from home can be a confusion and uncomfortable transition. We help make it easy.
Are there any prerequisite work needed before taking this course?
We’ve done our best to ensure this course covers the absolute basics including what is a Google Ad and how is it different from a Facebook ad? However, we never know the experience levels of our students so to ensure no question goes unanswered we've created a private channel in our Pro League community to ask questions.
What is "employers network?" Do you have a list of companies that looking for your certified students?
The Employers Network is a list of companies that are actively hiring our certified students. We have been growing this list of companies for a few years now and have gotten people jobs within as short as 2 weeks after passing our certification.
Is this only for US residents?
No, we have trained and placed certified people all over the world.
What modules will be covered in Jumpstart?
The Jumpstart program is a bundle of new training provided by AdSkills. In this one program you’ll get access to 5 in-depth trainings that take you from wondering what an Ad buyer is to possibly earning your first dollar as a junior ad buyer (that part is up to your implementation of the course trainings) ;)
Here’s what you can expect to learn in each section of Jumpstart:
- Intro to Online Ads
In this first course you’ll get an introduction to online advertising. We’ll show you what a Google ad and a Facebook ad looks like. We’ll show you how they work and explain the basic concepts to you.
When you complete this course you’ll be able to speak intelligently to other business owners about online advertising. You’ll be able to answer basic questions and determine whether Facebook or Google is right for them to start with as well as the right budget size.
If you don’t know what CTR, CPA, EPC, and Landing Page mean, then do not skip this course. There is critical information for you to learn in this course. - Market Research Blueprint
In Market Research Blueprint you'll learn the exact steps pro media buyers use to find and convert large pools of their target customer in any ad network. Rather than trying to figure out what works by trial and error, we'll show you how to reverse engineer the kingpin of your market.
Here you’ll learn about traffic temperatures. What it takes to convert “cold” traffic isn't the same as what it takes for “warm” traffic. Knowing this will help you speak to new customers that don't know you. The “trick” to great marketing is just saying the right thing, at the right time, to the right person.
This course gives you the tools to find your audience and know how to speak to them with your ads. - Tracking 101
In Tracking 101, you'll learn how to setup a tracking solution so that you can finally track which ads, campaigns, and networks are the most profitable for you.
There's a pixel for everything these days. We'll show you how to properly setup Google Tag Manager so that you have all your pixels neatly organized and displaying on the correct pages.
Never again will you setup a campaign and wonder which ad is converting the most sales. Exercises in this course are sure to have your tracking setup professionally.
Plus, you’ll learn from a former Google employee. You read that right. The instructor for this course used to work for Google and walks you step by step how to use their free tracking and analytics software so that you have a strong tracking foundation. - 3 Campaigns Every Business Should Run
Over the last 10 years working online and consulting with clients our instructors have narrowed down the most effective campaigns any business can use to get more leads or customers.
In this series you’ll learn from our AdSkills founder, Justin Brooke. He’s going to show you why these 3 campaigns are a powerhouse toolbox to get you in the door with your first online job as a Junior Ad Buyer. Then Tracy, your Jumpstart course instructor will dive into the networks and show you click-by-click how to set up the campaigns. - WAH Mindset & Tools You’ll Need
WAH (aka Work At Home) is often a misunderstood phrase. Public opinions would have you believe that we're all binge watching Netflix most of the day and then dabbling in this new online "job" thing that magically pays all your bills...
But that’s not the case and we won’t tell you it is. Ad buying is a career. You’re diving into a career that happens in the traditional workspace AND in the digital workspace… they keyword here being “workspace.”
In this module you’ll hear from the AdSkills team. They share their journey into becoming a freelancer in the “work at home” or online job space. They cover the skills you should know, tools you should become comfortable with, and how to avoid common traps that would keep you from reaching your goals of replacing your current job with one from home. - Junior Ad Buyer Certification
As soon as you pass our Junior Ad Buyer Certification test, potential clients and employers will be there waiting to hire you. Everything is already setup and they are waiting for you to finish.
I’ll explain how it works…
You won't need to beg for clients once you complete our certification. We’ll send out an email to our Employer Network (multi-million dollar companies who have already asked for "FIRST DIBS" on anyone who completes our certification) to let them know about our recent grads.
Why would they do this?
Let's be honest, people aren't coming out of college with a degree in Facebook ads or Google Ads.
Hiring ad buyers training in the current ad networks is a major pain point for ad agencies and big companies. They don't want to take chances. They want to plug-in to our network and hire you as soon as you've completed our certification test and assignments.
When I say hire, there are ad agencies and businesses that want in-house employees or remote workers to set up their campaigns. They already know the quality of education in AdSkills which is why they want to hire our certified members.
We’ve trained the ad buyers for ClickFunnels.com, Kajabi.com, DigitalMarketer.com, and many more.
No one else is offering this because most certifications are too easy. Our test was made by a real professor and is 50 questions. You do have access to a pre-test to practice on though. Clients know that anyone who comes out of our program is legitimately worth paying top dollar. YOU MUST complete the test to qualify for this bonus.
