The AdSkills Workshop Experience

Here is what you should expect to enjoy when you commit to speak to our vibrant community of both intermediate and expert media buyers.

About The Event

AdSkills workshops are focused towards advanced strategies for ad buyers and business owners. This workshop specifically focuses on conversion mastery.

In 2021 our focus will be on improving conversions of landing pages, video ads, ecommerce funnels, ad campaign conversions. Anything related to improving the metrics of your campaigns and getting better results for your customers.

When Is The Event?

  • Thursday, April 22nd, 2021
  • The workshop begins at 11:00am EST with each of our six sessions beginning each hour thereafter.
  • We have a scheduled 60 minute lunch break at 2pm, right after our third session of the day.
  • Speakers should plan to make themselves available at least 15 mins ahead of their scheduled speaking time
  • We meet digitally in this current season, via Zoom Webinar. You'll receive the join link via email, no later than 48hrs in advance. 

Previous Workshops

AdSkills is known for destination workshops in Boston, Seattle and most recently Jamaica. In this pandemic season, our workshops have moved to digital workshops attracted engaged, active audiences 400 strong.

All attendees pay for their seat to attend. The majority of attendees joined us on the live calls, with the remainder accessing recordings via our evergreen archive in the AdSkills members area.

You’ll present to an advanced ad-buying audience of intermediate to advanced media buyers. Collectively, AdSkills media buyers are responsible for close to $50-million USD in annual ad spend.

The AdSkills community want to gain insights into the cutting edge techniques, learning ‘tomorrow’ strategies ‘today’. They want to leave AdSkills workshops with at least ONE golden nugget to apply to their business. But we want every single session to give them that tip which revolutionizes their ad buying approach.

We always focus on advanced, proven, cutting edge techniques and strategies - theory alone just won’t cut it with our audience. Sessions should be engaging, even practical in the truest sense of a workshop, with cutting edge insights to ensure the audience remain interactive.

Our speakers present to a fully paid up audience - no freebie seekers here. They show up to participate, fully engaged via the live Q&A, feedback and chat. You won't present to a wall when you present to the AdSkills community - you’re talking to an audience who respond.

Can you tell me more about the event?

Our workshops are 6 hour live events. The focus of this workshop is "Conversion Optimization." Conversions is a pretty broad topic but ideally we'd like your position to be from the tracking and analytics perspective. How are you tracking and optimizing ad campaigns? (what split test system do you use, or insights on split tests you've run.)

Our speakers are intimately acquainted with the media buying/online advertising space. We're constantly striving to be the leaders in our industry and this goal is reflected in our workshop experience. We run our workshops four times per year because no course can keep up with how fast the industry moves - and yet, we’re staying ahead of the curve.

Any particular topic I was recruited to speak about?

We chose you for your expertise on this topic. However, we'd like you to present on your expertise as it relates to Conversions, Analytics, and Tracking. Who is the audience?

You’ll present to an audience of intermediate to advanced media buyers. The audience is typically 70% ad buyers 30% business owners that hire our ad buyers or look to us for advanced ad buying training. Collectively, AdSkills media buyers are responsible for close to $50-million USD in annual ad spend.

The AdSkills community wants to gain insights into the cutting edge techniques, learning ‘tomorrow’ strategies ‘today’. They want to leave AdSkills workshops with at least ONE golden nugget which improves their ad buying approach. Sessions should be engaging and interactive (in the truest sense of a "workshop")

We always focus on advanced, proven, cutting edge techniques and strategies - theory alone just won’t cut it with our audience. 

What's the format?

Presentations on the top of every hour. The typical presentation lasts for 40-45 minutes with 10 minutes of Q&A at the end. Everyone breaks for 5 minutes while we switch presenters. 

Do speakers need to use a provided presentation template?

Speakers should feel free to use their own, branded presentation templates. If you'd like to receive our presentation template though, go ahead and reach out to Carolina@adskills.com.

Are you requiring speakers to submit presentation drafts? If so, when is the due date?

We understand that speakers often like to complete their slide-decks the night before a presentation, or on the plane as they travel to an event. But if you do have your slide deck available in advance, it would be super helpful for us to receive that 48hrs in advance. Due dates for all presentations are April 20th, 2021. Thank you. 

Should workshop speakers include a key takeaway slide at the end of their presentation?

Yes! Please include a key takeaway slide at the end of your presentation. We want to help our attendees to get the most out of each session, and often those final round-up slides can help to solidify the main learning points from the session.

Will my session be posted online after the conference?

As an event speaker you great us the right to use your image, logo and presentation recording in promoting this workshop. Your workshop presentation will be recorded and available to all customers of the workshop in the AdSkills members. We continue to promote workshop recordings in the months following the workshop which ultimately serves to increase exposure for your recorded presentation. If you'd like a copy of your presentation please request one from the event coordinator. 

How much time should I allow for Q & A?

At the end of your session, we suggest allowing at least 5-10 minutes for questions from the audience. The opportunity to ask questions to our presenters is always very much appreciated by our attendees, and will likely add tremendous value to your session.
